Agenda: This Week in Local Government, October 25-29
SOUTHEAST NC – It may seem impossible to keep up with local issues while they are still being developed.
Getting involved early in the policy-making process can help ensure that the community’s input is heard before it is too late to intervene.
You may not even need to attend (in person or virtually) to make sure your point of view is considered. Often times, sending an email to government officials to be considered a public comment on a particular item can put your voice on the public record.
Each Monday, the Port City Daily will share upcoming government meetings of interest in the tri-county area. If there is a topic of public interest, we will also include it under the meeting indicated.
Here is the program for this week:
Tuesday October 26
New Hanover Community Endowment, Inc. organizes its first listening session. Speakers will have three minutes and written comments are also accepted. The screening begins at 7 p.m. at the Wilmington Convention Center. Sign up to talk.
Leland Planning Council will meet for a regular meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. See the agenda.
Wednesday October 27
Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet for a regular council meeting starting at 3:00 p.m. See the agenda.
