The Elko County School District The board will meet in special session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the central office at 850 Elm St. for “Discussion and the possible appointment of CJ Anderson as permanent superintendent of schools.”
The Nevada Public Utilities Commission scheduled a session with consumers at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 to hear public comments regarding Great Basin Water Co.’s (GBWC) request to adjust water and sewer rates in its Pahrump, Spring divisions Creek, Cold Springs and Spanish Springs. The action would reduce residential water rates in Spring Creek by $15.15 per month, according to the company. Elko County Commissioners will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Nannini administration building. Considerations include an ordinance that adds conditional use for animal kennels or boarding houses or other related facilities, riding and equestrian training academies, restaurants, small businesses, nurseries and garden centers and private accommodations for events.
