The Agenda: At local government this week
SOUTHEAST NC – Every Monday, Port City Daily will share upcoming government meetings in the Tri-County area. If there is an element of public interest, we will also include it under the meeting indicated.
Monday July 25
The Belville Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the halls of City Hall, 63 River Road. The agenda includes an update on the Belville Riverwalk and a resolution on the multi-use trail project.
tuesday july 26
The Carolina Beach City Council will be holding a workshop at 9 a.m. in the Board Room, 1121 N. Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach. The meeting can be streamed live on Youtube. An agenda has not been released at press time.
The Leland Planning Council will meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall Rooms, 102 Town Hall Dr. The meeting can be streamed live on Youtube. The agenda includes a review of a preliminary subdivision plan, a text amendment and three zoning recommendations.
The Pender County School Board will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. at the Katherine Herring Resource Center, 798 US Hwy. 117 in Bourgaw. The purpose is to discuss the Superintendent’s research and personnel matters. The meeting will be broadcast live here until its camera. The board will also meet at 4 p.m., but the meeting is not open to the public.
Wilmington Housing Authority will hold several committee meetings at Ranking Terrace Place, 415 N 12th St. The Community Outreach and Resident Services Committee will meet at 3 p.m., followed by the Property Development Committee at 4 p.m. and the Policy, Administration and Finance Committee immediately after .
Wednesday July 27
- Update of the city’s land use plan
- A edit text to allow swimming pools to be used alone
- Personal recommendations modify the detailed standards for aisles
Council of the Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet at 3 p.m. on the 6th floor of 320 Chestnut St. in Wilmington. The meeting can be streamed live on Zoom. The agenda understand :
- A presentation on a congestion management plan
- NCDOT Discussion of Project Delivery Options for Cape Fear Memorial Bridge Replacement
The Wilmington Design Adjustment Committee will convene at 1:30 p.m. for a special meeting to discuss a request for a street right-of-way standard waiver for a mixed-use project at 349 Military Cutoff Rd. The meeting can be streamed live on Youtube.
Thursday July 28
The UNCW Board of Directors will meet at 8:30 a.m. at UNCW’s Burney Center at 601 South College Rd. The agenda is available for viewing here.
The WAVE transport authority will meet at 12:30 p.m. at Forden Station, 505 Cando Street. The public can connect here or by audioconference: (312) 757-3121, access code 844-936-749. A few things about the agenda to understand:
