Agartala, February 11, 2022: Questioning the unscrupulous role of the left-wing government, Chief Minister – Biplab Kumar Deb claimed on Friday that several construction projects remained half-completed, which intentionally tarnished the image of the central government in the eyes of the common masses.

During the Friday inauguration of the Sub Division Magistrate (SDM) Offices and Sub Division Hospital building at Panisagar of Tripura in the Northern District, Deb said that the construction works of the SDM office in Panisagar started in 2016 and took almost 6 years to be completed and inaugurated.

“If Prime Minister Narendra Modi says the Chief Minister of Tripura is doing a good job, then the former Chief Minister always passes the statement that every job is started by them during their regime,” Deb said and added why then the previous government could not build a hospital in two years.

Slamming the role of the previous left-wing government, the chief minister said: “Before there had been movements locally organized for the construction of a hospital and people were misled again and again into believing that the government of the union based in Delhi provides funds. Every time it was said the only thing was that Delhi don’t give money, there is no funding.

“After the formation of the BJP-led government in Tripura, this government also did not receive any funding from Delhi. But the unfinished works of the state have been completed by getting money from different departments and councils with interest,” Deb told the rally while emphasizing the proactive role of the state government in Tripura.

A total amount of Rs 5 crore 63 lakhs has been spent on the new SDM office building in Panisagar while the inauguration of the hospital building costs Rs 14 crore. The 50-bed subdivisional hospital has state-of-the-art facilities.

Further, the Chief Minister has inaugurated 101 paved roads and about Rs 41 Crore will be spent in this regard while the works will be carried out by the Rural Development Department.

During the program, Deb was accompanied by Vice President – Biswabandhu Sen, Uttar Tripura Zilla Parishad sabhadhipati – Bhabatosh Das, Panisagar MLA – Binoy Bhushan Das, Revenue Department Secretary – Puneet Agarwal and North Tripura District – DM Nagesh Kumar B among others.
